Newcastle United The Surprise Package

As a lifelong Newcastle fan, I have seen a fair few ups and downs over the past decade or so. Managers have come and gone, with succe ses like Sir Bobby Robson and Chris Hughton eclipsed by the underachievers Graeme Soune s, Joe Kinnear, Jake Curhan Jersey Sam Allardyce; the list goes on. However, the man currently in the Newcastle hot seat, Alan Pardew, has got the Geordies bouncing once again. Yesterdays impre sive win against Liverpool has seen Newcastle join Chelsea on 53 points, only 5 points behind Arsenal and Tottenham in the Champions League spots. With at least 6th place looking secure, there is zero pre sure on the Toon Army to climb even further up the table, something which could give them an advantage against the three London sides. With the LMA Manager of the Year award fast approaching, Pardew is obviously among the favourites. However, his opposite number this weekend is the favourite with the bookies. Brendan Rodgers has done aphenomenaljob at newly promoted Kenny Easley Jersey Swansea, guiding them to a top half spot and well clear of the relegation zone. The two managers have both done brilliant jobs this season, and with The Liberty Stadium becoming a fortre s for the Swans, this Sunday promises to have a cracker on its hands. For me, Newcastle need to do what they have Benson Mayowa Jersey been doing the last three games; break fast, pre s the opponents and bo s the midfield. Cheick Tiote was instrumental in the middle for Newcastle yesterday, tying down Steven Gerrard for the majority of the game. It is vital that Tiote, along with Yohan Cabaye and perhaps Danny Guthrie, do their best to disrupt the rhythm of Swanseas pa sing game. Joe Allen and Leon Britton both have excellent pa s succe s rates, so the key will be to close these two down whenever po sible.Another area I think Newcastle should exploit is the Swansea defence. While they have been solid in their own back yard this season, I think that they lack pace at the back, and pace is something Newcastle have in abundance. Hatem Ben Arfa is in scintillating form, and has a goal Russell Wilson Hoodies Sweatshirts and 3 (maybe 4, depending on your view of Newcastles second goal yesterday) a sists in his last 2 games. Papi s Ci se is another man in fine form, with 7 goals in his first 7 PL games. Ci se is an out and out goalscorer, and should cause the Swansea defence problems with his movement and work ethic. Not forgetting Demba Ba of course, Newcastles top goalscorer. Interestingly, Bas goals have dried up since his Senegalese team mate Ci se joined the Toon. However, teams can write him off at their peril, with Ba in double figures for PL goals over the season. If Newcastle can beat Swansea this weekend, they will be on 56 points with 6 games left to play. While it is highly unlikely, if Newcastle manage to pick up a win in every game from now til the end of the season, they will finish off Jamarco Jones Jersey with 74 points, a truly remarkable achievement for a team only in its second season back in the Premier League. Whatever happens, Geordies everywhere can be proud of the Magpies efforts this season
