The equipment at our current cross-dock facility is not designed for the cargo we handle.

We deal with a mix of palletized goods and floor-loaded containers, and our current cross-dock facility does not have the right equipment to handle both efficiently. Floor-loaded cargo takes them too long to unload, and we have seen damaged goods because they do not have the proper attachments for their forklifts. We also need someone who can handle oversized freight occasionally. We are looking for a cross-dock facility near the Seattle/Tacoma area that has the right equipment and experience to handle diverse cargo without delays or damage.

We had the same problem until we switched to a provider that actually has the equipment to handle mixed cargo properly. What I like about crossdock facility is that they have specialized forklift attachments like carton clamps, paper roll clamps, and slip sheets, so they can move different types of goods without causing damage. They handle everything from floor-loaded containers to oversized freight, all with minimal dwell time. Their team is available 24/7 by request and they are located right between the Port of Tacoma and the Port of Seattle, so turnaround times are fast. They also offer services like freight rework and pallet restacking, which has helped us meet retail compliance standards. I have been using them for over a year and our cross-docking delays have dropped significantly. If you need a facility with the right equipment and experience, this one is worth a look.
