Hey everyone, so, like, next month Im booked for my first tattoo at a tattoo shop around Bath, and Im honestly trying to keep it together but I just keep running it back in my head, the whole thing, and its basically the same loop. Im thinking about what its actually gonna feel like once Im sitting there and then it hits, Im kinda nervous, not even gonna lie.
Id love to hear a few more specific little moments if youve got them, like what tattoo shop Bathartists did or said during your first appointment. Those tiny bits that somehow made you feel less buzzy inside? Or, you know, helped you settle faster. Even stories where it wasnt some big comforting speech, but more like a weirdly small thing that cut the intensity.
Did they bring it up during the consultation beforehand, or was it more about how they talked you through everything right before they started. Step by step, calm and steady, that kind of thing. Im not really looking for the usual general advice, because sure, it helps a little, but it never feels the same as actual personal stories.
If youre up for it, tell me what it was like when you felt nervous. Like what they actually did in that exact moment, or what they said when you were over thinking, kinda spiraling in your head.. Anything at all that made it feel lighter, even if it was something simple like breathe once, or they checked in a couple times, or they adjusted the setup without making a big deal of it, idk.
